For those seeking adventure, the paragliding experience in El Quindío is an exhilarating choice! Feel the rush as you fly over stunning coffee fields in Colombia’s Quindío Department, taking in breathtaking vistas from above.

Paragliding Experience in El Quindío

Meet us at your selected hour in Plaza de Buenavista, located in the municipality of the same name within the Quindío Department. From there, we will travel by vehicle to the launch site, which is situated at an altitude of 6,200 feet (1,890 metres) above sea level.

Upon arrival, our expert pilots will review important safety guidelines and provide essential instructions for both take-off and landing. After this briefing, you will be equipped with your harness and helmet, ready to embark on your flight!

Experience a thrilling 10 to 15 minutes soaring through the air as you glide over the Coffee Cultural Landscape. This stunning mountainous region in Quindío boasts lush coffee plantations, guaduas, and trumpet trees. Throughout the 4-mile (7-kilometre) route, the pilot will share insights about the municipalities you are flying over, as well as how local residents have adapted to the challenging terrain.

Provided that the weather permits, you will have the opportunity to follow your pilot’s guidance and control the paraglider yourself!

Who Can Participate?

The weight requirements for paragliding are a minimum of 40 pounds (18 kilograms) and a maximum of 209 pounds (95 kilograms). This activity is not suitable for pregnant individuals or those who have undergone recent surgeries.

Informations importantes

Please be ready at the Café Éxtasis in the Plaza Buenavista 10 minutes ahead of time. The uniformed pilots will be waiting for you there.

Important

We recommend wearing long trousers and closed shoes (sandals and heels aren't suitable for this activity).
Please remember to bring your ID card or passport on the day of the activity.
The paragliding experience is for 1 person at a time. The paraglider can only carry the pilot and a companion.
The paraglider doesn't have an engine, so this activity depends on the weather conditions at the time. Occasionally, we need to wait on the runway until the weather conditions allow a safe flight.
