Your day begins bright and early with a pick-up from your accommodation in Cairns. We will then proceed to an open space where the hot air balloon awaits, ready to take you on a ride of approximately one hour.

Upon arrival, you'll have the chance to observe the inflation of the balloons before stepping into the basket to start this thrilling aerial journey.

As we ascend, watch the sun rise over the horizon, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere!

From this elevated perspective, enjoy stunning panoramic vistas of the Atherton Plateau with its majestic mountains enveloped by lush rainforest. Don’t forget your camera; this is a moment worth capturing!

After approximately 40 minutes of flight above the Cairns landscape, we will gradually descend and return you to your hotel.

Hot Air Balloon + Funicular and Scenic Train Journey

For an enhanced experience, consider our option that incorporates a funicular and scenic train journey.

Following your balloon adventure, we'll proceed to the Skyrail station. Here, you'll board a funicular that offers spectacular views as it glides above the rainforest, providing an unforgettable ride through the treetops with breathtaking panoramas of Cairns and the Kuranda Ranges.

Next, enjoy a walk through the forest to the second funicular at the Red Peak stop before arriving at the Barron Falls station, where an interpretation centre is open for visits.

Our adventure continues to the charming town of Kuranda and its vibrant markets. You'll have free time to explore this lovely locale. We suggest visiting the Butterfly Sanctuary, the Venom Zoo, or enjoying a serene boat ride on the Kuranda River—the choice is yours!

Following your time in Kuranda, it will be time to board the panoramic train for a journey along the historic mining railway line that traces the Macalister Range. During this 1.5-hour trip, you'll witness Barron Falls and traverse numerous bridges that weave through mountains and waterfalls. Ready your cameras!

Finally, we will arrive at Cairns Central Station, concluding our adventure after a full day of approximately 12 hours.
