The Château welcomes visitors from Monday to Sunday, operating during the following periods:
- September 5 to April 30: from 10 am to 12:30 pm and from 2 pm to 5:30 pm
- May 2 to September 4: from 10 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 6 pm
Please note, the last entry is allowed one hour before closing time.
Special Opening Hours
- December 24 and 31: open from 10 am to 12:30 pm, and from 2 pm to 4 pm
Complimentary Admission
Entry to the Monks' Chapel is free for the following groups:
- Young adults aged 18 to 25 from the European Union
- All children under 18, irrespective of nationality
For complimentary entry, individuals must visit the monument’s ticket office with a valid ID.
Moreover, free admission is available for everyone on the first Sunday of each month from January to March and November to December, as well as on the third weekend of September.

The castle is located in Place Jehan de Dunois, in the French town of Châteaudun.
The Châteaudun train station is a 20-minute walk from the castle.
Opening Times
The Château de Châteaudun is open from Monday to Sunday at the following times:
- September 5 to April 30: from 10 am to 12:30 pm and from 2 pm to 5:30 pm
- May 2 to September 4: from 10 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 6 pm
The final admission allowed is 1 hour before closing time.
