Tour Overview

At the specified time, our gathering will take place close to the Benny Moré statue, from where we will commence our guided walk through Cienfuegos, a locale renowned as La Perla del Sur.

Our journey will start by integrating ourselves into the everyday life of the local community as we navigate through the Paseo del Prado and Avenida San Fernando. During our stroll, we will make a stop at the Artisan Market and visit the Hotel La Unión, which boasts stunning panoramic vistas from its terrace.

Soon after, we will arrive at José Martí Park, centrally located in the historic district. Here, we will delve into the origins of Cienfuegos and witness prominent sites such as the Government Palace, Tomás Terry Theater, and the cathedral, all of which showcase the colonial architectural significance of the city. Notably, the Neoclassical style present in this historical area has earned Cienfuegos a place on the UNESCO World Heritage List, recognized as a prime example of early 19th-century Spanish urban design.

Continuing our exploration, we will visit the Benny Moré Cultural Center to appreciate its art and photography displays, along with seeing the studios and galleries of local creatives. Following our time at the renowned Customs building, we will conclude our Cienfuegos tour after approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes at the Muelle Real, a pier where we can enjoy a traditional Cuban beverage while taking in the scenic surroundings.
