Dunajec River Gorge Day Trip
Description
Marvel at the landscape of the Dunajec River Gorge from a traditional Polish wooden raft and explore the fourteenth-century Niedzica Castle before returning to Krakow.
Itinerary
The tour departs at 8:30 am on a full-day trip to the Pieniny Mountains via air-conditioned minibus. The Dunajec River Gorge serves as a natural border between Slovakia and Poland.
Upon arrival at Pieniny National Park, the second oldest national park in the world, board a typical wooden raft. Enjoy a 15km boat ride lasting 2 to 3 hours with views of forested cliffs and mountain tops.
Halfway down the river, visit the Niedzica Castle, built between 1320 and 1326. A Polish legend suggests that the owner fell in love with an Inca princess in the eighteenth century, leading to hidden treasures within the castle.
Return to Krakow by 5pm.

The journey to Cz?stochowa does not include a guide, but the guided tour at the destination is available exclusively in English.
