Your adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Oranjestad at the agreed time, where you will board a comfortable minibus destined for the Aruba Arikok National Park, a true natural treasure of this Caribbean paradise. Are you ready to unravel its wonders on a hiking journey?

Guided by an expert familiar with the local plant and animal life, you will traverse this protected landscape, known for its impressive limestone formations, volcanic structures, and mountains meeting the sea—an experience that promises to captivate you!

While Hiking through Arikok, you will learn about the notable Ayo rocks, which hold spiritual significance for the island’s indigenous population. These giant stone formations scattered throughout the park starkly contrast with Aruba's generally flat terrain. How did they come to be? Were they shaped by human hands? We will reveal these mysteries and more as we make our way through stunning scenery.

Your journey will also include a visit to the Arikok Visitor Centre, where fascinating displays highlight the park's endemic flora and fauna. Here, you will encounter unique species like the whip lizard, the cat's eye snake, and the endangered rattlesnake, among others showcased in the centre.

After an immersive three and a half hours hiking through Arikok National Park, we will conclude the trek and return you to your hotel in Oranjestad.

Sunrise Adventure

For those eager to experience the Aruba Arikok National Park during one of the day's most magical times, we suggest choosing the 5:30 am time slot. We will pick you up at your hotel before dawn and drive you to the park. Upon arrival, we’ll embark on a hiking trail of approximately 3.72 mi (6 km), witnessing the natural beauty begin to glow as the sun rises.

As the island begins to awaken, you will revel in the hidden wonders of the Aruba Arikok National Park, culminating at the Conchi natural pool, where you can snorkel in this stunning volcanic rock formation. Just imagine swimming in this idyllic spot first thing in the morning—what an exhilarating way to start the day!

Following this, we will continue to explore the various attractions in Arikok while gaining insights into its diverse flora and fauna. Ultimately, we will return you to your hotel in Oranjestad, completing this memorable excursion three hours later.
