Your adventure begins with a pickup from your Guardalavaca hotel at an arranged time, followed by the journey to the Bariay National Monument. Here, a collection of monolithic structures stands proudly against the sea, commemorating Christopher Columbus's landing on Cuban land. This site marks the first encounter of the Santa María, Pinta, and Niña crews with the New World!

At the monument, we will explore statues that celebrate the merging of two diverse cultures: neoclassical arches that symbolize Europe alongside replicas of aboriginal figures that hark back to the ancient Americas, echoing nearby pre-Hispanic relics. Additionally, a visit to Bariay Park reveals reproductions of indigenous dwellings.

Following our exploration, we’ll savor Cuban coffee, coconut water, and seasonal fruits in a local home. To further appreciate the beautiful surroundings that mesmerized the Spaniards in 1492, a carriage ride or horseback tour will take us through the picturesque Bariay Bay, lush mangroves, and the coconut palms that embellish this stunning locale.

Your day culminates with leisure time at Bariay Beach, a tropical paradise along the Atlantic coast, perfect for a refreshing swim before we make our way back. The entire experience spans approximately 8 hours, concluding with your drop-off at the hotel in Guardalavaca.
