Bergamo Culinary Experience

At your chosen time, we will gather at Piazza Mercato delle Scarpe 5 to commence our gastronomic tour of Bergamo! Our path takes us through the historic Porta Dipinta (Painted Door) as we ascend to the upper section of Lombard Town. Are you eager to experience the city's culinary delights?

Accompanied by our expert guide, we will traverse the charming streets of Bergamo's historical center. Here, you will encounter classic dishes alongside contemporary culinary innovations that blend bold and subtle flavors, reflecting both tradition and modernity.

Our journey begins with a traditional Bergamo aperitif, paired with a glass of Valcalepio red wine, leading to the introduction of fresh pasta. Have you come across foiade or casoncelli? This half-moon shaped filled pasta is sure to impress your palate!

Next, we will savor a serving of polenta with lard and cheese, an age-old recipe featuring cornmeal and taleggio cheese, a beloved item in Lombard cuisine. Its rich creaminess will surely delight you!

To conclude our experience on a delectable note, we will visit a vintage ice cream shop for a coffee break and enjoy stracciatella ice cream. Fun fact: this flavor was created here in Bergamo during the 1960s!
