As the tour begins, we will convene at the entrance of Hell's Gate Geothermal Reserve to embark on a guided experience through the most significant geothermal site in Rotorua.

During our adventure, we will unveil a variety of intriguing insights about this geothermal wonderland as we navigate through the dynamic geysers and thermal pools. Prepare to be enchanted by waterfalls, unique flora, and the presence of tropical birds nestled within the landscapes of Hell's Gate!

Did you know that this location boasts the largest active mud volcano in New Zealand? It also features the most extensive hot waterfall in the southern hemisphere, promising a truly captivating natural environment!

Upon completing an hour of this immersive experience, we will conclude the tour by retracing our steps back to the meeting point.

Operating Hours

Hell's Gate offers only two guided tours each day at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm. Should these times not be suitable, you may consider exploring the site independently.
