Details of the Private Tour

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation at the arranged time, after which we'll proceed north towards Longsheng, widely celebrated for its stunning tiered rice terraces. The two-hour journey offers a chance to appreciate the quintessential landscapes of rural China.

Upon arrival, we will first visit the ticket office to secure your entrance to Longji. Once tickets are obtained, we will board a vehicle to reach the Longji parking area, which takes approximately half an hour. At this point, you can either opt for a sightseeing vehicle to Jiulongwuhu, just a five-minute drive away, or choose to hike there, which will take around an hour and a half.

After arriving, we will stroll through the famed Longji rice fields and uncover the origins behind its name “Dragon's Backbone.” Guided by your English-speaking host, you'll gain insights into the irrigation practices of local farmers while taking in breathtaking mountainside views.

Once you've soaked in the vistas at Longji, we’ll head over to Qixingbanyue, known as the Seven Stars Around the Moon viewing platform, which offers stunning panoramas of the surroundings. We will then hike down the mountain, passing through the village of Ping'an, where you’ll have some time to enjoy lunch at your leisure.

Lastly, we’ll return to the Longji parking lot, where a vehicle will be ready to take you back to your hotel in Guilin, concluding this comprehensive tour that spans approximately eight hours.

Optimal Viewing Season: June to October

The ideal period to experience the rice terraces is from June through October. When booking your tour, please keep in mind that local dining establishments are typically closed from November to April.

This tour includes a pickup service from hotels situated in the central area of Guilin. If your accommodation is in a different location, an additional fee may apply. Drop-off is provided at the same hotels in Guilin as those designated for pickup.
