Snowshoeing Adventure on Great Slave Lake

Our journey begins with a timely pick-up from your hotel in Yellowknife, followed by a drive to a designated area along the shores of Great Slave Lake, recognized as the deepest lake in North America.

Once we arrive, a short briefing will introduce you to the snowshoeing equipment. We will then wear our snowshoes and commence our trek. Walking on ice creates a unique sensation that truly must be experienced to appreciate fully!

As we traverse the lake's shores, utilizing poles and snowshoes, we gain access to otherwise unreachable terrains. Along the way, immerse yourself in the enchanting winter scenery and observe the fascinating local wildlife, including foxes and snow partridges.

Time permitting, we will venture out onto the frozen lake’s surface and have the chance to discover a remarkable ice cave. To conclude our remarkable expedition, we will enjoy warm beverages to help us recover from the cold.

After our adventure, you will be returned to your hotel in Yellowknife, approximately two hours after our initial pick-up.
