Your journey begins at the designated Ametlla de Mar Port, where we convene to embark on this extraordinary adventure.

After capturing some memorable photos, we'll set sail on the Balfegó Tour catamaran. During the scenic 20-minute voyage towards the bluefin tuna pools, you'll watch an enlightening video titled From the Sea to Balfegó, which provides insights into the biology of the tuna and the fishing methods employed.

Upon arrival at the bluefin tuna pools, we will anchor to allow you to observe the 300 tuna specimens housed here. These impressive fish can reach lengths of up to 8 feet (2.5 meters) and weigh as much as 330 pounds (250 kilograms or 23 stones 8 pounds).

Following a brief overview, get ready to snorkel while swimming with the tuna. You will have the chance to encounter these animals in their natural environment for a full hour, gliding alongside them.

Once the snorkelling segment wraps up, depending on your chosen option, we’ll head back to the catamaran for a delightful tuna tasting experience. After enjoying 2 hours on the water, we will complete our excursion by returning to the port of La Ametlla de Mar.

Activity options

When reserving your spot, you can select from two activity packages:

• Catamaran trip + Swimming with tuna
• Catamaran trip + Swimming with tuna + Tuna tasting

Please note, the ticket price for children aged 5 to 10 years does not include the tuna tasting. Also, children under 4 years can join for free, but they will not participate in the tuna swimming activity.

Snorkelling equipment not included

In adherence to Covid-19 safety protocols, snorkelling gear such as goggles, masks, and fins will not be supplied. Participants are required to bring their own snorkelling equipment.
