Guided Tour of Santiago de Cuba
At the agreed time, we will collect you from your accommodation in Santiago de Cuba to embark on a guided walking tour through the vibrant streets of Cuba's second-largest city.
The journey will commence in the historic district of Santiago de Cuba. Our first stop will be the Cathedral of Santiago de Cuba, founded in 1514. Following this, we will appreciate the impressive facades of various cultural institutions, including the Carnival Museum, the Emilio Bacardi Museum, and the Casa de la Trova.
Next, we’ll meander along the Malecon, where stunning views of the bay of Santiago de Cuba await. Our route will then lead us to the City Hall and the historic first Casa de América, where we'll delve into its significance during the 16th century.
As we navigate through the Abel Santamaría Historical Park, we will discuss pivotal events of the Cuban Revolution and view the exterior of the Moncada Barracks, with insights about the notable figure Fidel Castro.
Continuing our exploration, we will stroll down Las Enramadas Blvd, allowing some time for shopping at its numerous venues. Finally, our tour will conclude at the renowned Bodeguita del Medio, where we will delve into the rich history of this famed locale.
After three hours filled with exploration, the guided tour of Santiago de Cuba will wrap up at Céspedes Park.
