Visit to the Tortoise Conservation Center on Isabela Island

Your journey begins at 8:15 am with a pickup from your hotel located on Isabela Island. From there, we will depart from the city center to visit a dedicated tortoise conservation facility in the Galapagos.

The Arnaldo Tupiza Chamaidan Tortoise Conservation Center plays a crucial role in safeguarding the native giant tortoise species of Galapagos from the moment they hatch until they reach the age of 10, at which point they are sufficiently developed to survive in the wild.

As we tour this facility, recognized as one of the premier breeding centers in the Galapagos Islands, you will gain insight into the significance of these reptiles within their ecological niche.

Throughout your visit, you'll have the opportunity to observe both juvenile and fully grown tortoises, with the young hatchlings sure to capture your heart!

After approximately 45 minutes at the center, the tour will conclude, and we will return you to your hotel on Isabela Island.
