Description

After an early pickup from your hotel in Jaipur, you'll head out of the city towards the east by air-conditioned vehicle. Along the four-hour journey, there will be a comfort break.

Arriving in Agra around 10:30 am, you'll be taken directly to one of the most famous monuments in India, and indeed the world.

The Taj Mahal was commissioned in 1632 by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan to house the tomb of his favorite wife. Completed in 1651, its construction involved around 20,000 workers and 1,000 elephants. Today, it stands as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. You'll hear all about its history as you explore this beautiful historical site.

After your visit to the impressive complex of buildings, particularly the iconic mausoleum, you'll head to a local restaurant to enjoy lunch featuring local specialties (not included).

Next, you’ll visit Agra Fort, built under emperor Akbar in 1565 to protect the then-capital of India. Recognized as one of the largest and most luxurious fortresses in the country, Agra Fort also offers incredible views of the Taj Mahal.

Finally, you’ll depart for Jaipur around 5 pm, arriving approximately at 9 pm.
