Description

This excursion from Malaga offers an opportunity to cross the Strait of Gibraltar and immerse yourself in the rich cultural tapestry of the Moroccan city of Tangier.

Day Trip to Tangier from Malaga

The adventure begins with a scenic drive from Malaga, tracing the breathtaking Costa del Sol until we arrive at Tarifa. Here, we will board a ferry to traverse the Strait of Gibraltar.

Upon arrival in Tangier, we will embark on a bus tour, exploring the various neighborhoods within the New City, known for its luxurious areas.

Subsequently, our exploration will take us to the Petit Souk and the historic Medina. As we navigate through the maze-like streets of the Medina, we will discover the essence of local life. Our journey will also lead us to the Kasbah, a compact fortified structure that provides breathtaking views of Tangier's port and bay.

After this enriching experience, we will indulge in a traditional Moroccan lunch, featuring dishes such as Harira, beef skewers, chicken or vegetable couscous, Arab tea, and Moroccan sweets. Following lunch, we'll explore a nearby bazaar, an ideal spot for finding unique gifts and souvenirs.

Once our shopping is complete, we will return to the ferry for the ride back to Tarifa, retracing our path as we head back to Malaga.

During the excursion, you can make several stops to pick you up in other towns on the Costa del Sol.
The trip is subject to changes between November and April due to changes in the ferry operating times and due to Ramadam.
You must show a valid passport upon entering Tangier, although some nationalities require a special visa. More information about which countries need a visa to enter Morocco can be found here.
