San Juan Private Day Trip

Your journey will commence at 8 am, with a pickup from your hotel in Mendoza. We'll then travel to San Juan, the capital of its eponymous province.

Our exploration of this significant Argentine city starts at the birthplace of Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, a notable 19th-century leader in San Juan. Following this, we will stop at the renowned Juan Victoria Auditorium, which is linked to the esteemed Escuela Superior de Música.

Next, we’ll explore the fascinating San Juan Museum of Natural Sciences, where you can marvel at an impressive collection of dinosaur fossils, prominently sourced from the Ischigualasto Provincial Park, an area noted for its remarkable palaeontological significance. After the museum, we will visit the 25 de Mayo Square, where stands the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, recognized as one of Argentina's most contemporary cathedrals inaugurated in 1979.

You will have one hour of leisure time to enjoy lunch in the heart of San Juan. Post-lunch, we will venture into the city's outskirts to explore the mesmerizing Zonda Gorge. This scenic spot features the Eduardo Copello racing circuit alongside the Garden of Poets, where we’ll admire sculptures dedicated to the prominent poets of the nation.

Concluding our tour, we will make a stop in the Tulum Valley to experience the Merced del Estero, celebrated as one of San Juan's top wineries. Here, we will tour the vineyards and uncover the reasons behind the distinct qualities of its grapes. Following a fulfilling day, we will return to your hotel in Mendoza, arriving by 9 pm.
