Day 1: Arrival in Bhutan - Thimphu

Upon your arrival at Paro International Airport, our team will welcome you and embark on a journey to Paro Ta Dzong, the country's national museum. Following this enriching visit, we will take a brief one-hour drive through the picturesque valleys of the Paro and Thimphu rivers, leading us to the vibrant capital of Bhutan, located at an elevation of 2,320 meters (7,611 feet).

During the drive, there’s a chance to stop and appreciate the stunning Tamchhog Lhakhang, known for its historical iron bridge craftsmanship. After a fulfilling day, we will savor dinner before heading to your hotel for rest.

Day 2: Thimphu

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we will kick off our tour of Thimphu. In this lively city, there are numerous attractions to explore, including the Buddha viewpoint, the Folklore Museum, local painting schools, the farmer's market, and the memorial Chorten.

As night falls, we will venture to the awe-inspiring Tashichho Dzong fortress to witness its grandeur illuminated against the night sky. Returning to the hotel afterward, you'll have the evening free to relax and reflect on the day.

Day 3: Thimphu – Punakha

A warm morning greeting from Bhutan awaits you! We'll begin with breakfast, then set off towards Punakha via the scenic Dochula Pass. Here, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a warm beverage while soaking in splendid views of the western Himalayas. Consider the option of dressing in traditional attire for memorable photographs!

In the afternoon, a visit to Dzong de Punakha and the Chimi Lhakhang, or the temple of fertility, awaits. This remarkable site was established in the 15th century by the renowned Lama Drukpa-Kuenley.

Later, if you’re interested, you may join an optional rafting experience on the Mochu River in Punakha. Afterward, we'll enjoy dinner back at the hotel as we conclude another exciting day.

Day 4: Punakha – Paro – Taktshang

Following a hearty breakfast, we will proceed to Paro. Once there, an invigorating hike to the Taktshang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery) awaits, taking approximately four hours. Should you prefer a more leisurely option, you can choose to admire the stunning surroundings from below.

Next, we’ll have a 40-minute drive to the Chele La pass, situated at an altitude of 3,300 meters (10,826 feet), where you can enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Jomo Lhari.

Your evening will be free for you to explore the town of Paro and its vicinity at your leisure, followed by dinner at the hotel as we wind down the day.

Day 5: Return flight

After a final breakfast, we will transfer you back to Paro airport, marking the conclusion of our unforgettable 5-day experience in the world's happiest nation.

Accommodation

The itinerary includes 4 nights in a double room at a 3-star hotel. In case of odd-numbered groups, arrangements will be made to share double rooms. Note that accommodations for triple rooms are not available.
