Tour Overview

At the agreed time, we’ll collect you from your accommodation in Porto to begin a scenic 1.5-hour drive to the Arouca Geopark.

Upon arrival at the park, we’ll embark on a journey towards the remarkable 516 Arouca, the longest pedestrian bridge globally. Get ready to ascend approximately 300 steps that will lead you to the spectacular height of 175 m (574 ft) above the River Paiva. Crossing this extraordinary bridge will be a memorable highlight of your day! As we navigate this iconic structure, our guide will share fascinating insights, while you take in the breathtaking views of the Aguieira waterfall.

After soaking up the panoramic sights, we’ll proceed on an 8 km hike through the Pasadizos del Paiva, allowing for a deep connection with nature.

You will walk along wooden pathways flanking the river for three hours, encountering waterfalls, mountains, passages, gorges, and much more along the way. With our knowledgeable guide, you will gain an appreciation for this unique ecosystem as you explore.

Concluding our hike, we’ll indulge in a traditional Portuguese meal, featuring the celebrated Arouquesa meat and a local spirit known as pinguça. What a perfect way to recharge!

After a full day of exploration, we'll return you to your hotel in Porto, wrapping up our 9-hour journey together.
