Trekking Overview

Your adventure begins with a convenient pickup from your chosen hotel in the El Cibao area, after which we will head to Las Caobas to navigate a scenic path featuring crystal-clear pools, gorges, and captivating waterfalls. Upon arrival, we will equip ourselves and embark on our thrilling journey.

As we traverse the landscape, expect to wander through abundant foliage and wade through waters that may reach waist height. For those seeking a splash of excitement, there's the opportunity to leap into the pools from rocky outcrops.

At 10:30 AM, we will pause for a brief snack featuring cheese and Dominican rodao (a local biscuit). Following this, our expedition will continue through a lush forest abundant with guama beans and remarkable ceiba and mahogany trees, which thrive in the intertropical regions, including the Dominican Republic.

By noon, we will break for a traditional meal comprising beans, rice, chicken, salad, and beverages. Post-lunch, we will delve into local craftsmanship in a nearby community.

Our return journey will lead us back to the starting point, with an estimated total duration of around 5 to 9 hours.
