Catalina Island Diving Experience

Embark on an exploration of the stunning waters of the Caribbean Sea with this diving experience at Catalina Island. You will encounter the remarkable marine life that inhabits these depths.

Description

Between 7 and 8 am, we will collect you from your accommodation in Punta Cana and transport you to the La Romana port. Here, you will board a boat that will take you to the first dive site around Catalina Island. Are you prepared for an extraordinary underwater journey?

Your initial stop will be La Pared, an acclaimed underwater coral wall that plunges to a depth of 100 meters (328 feet). During this remarkable 50-minute dive, we will descend to 18 meters (60 feet) to appreciate the wealth of biodiversity, including creatures like barracudas, hawksbill turtles, and seahorses.

Following this dive, we will reboard the boat and proceed to the Aquarium for our second diving adventure. This dive will also last 50 minutes, offering ample opportunity to marvel at the varied aquatic life, featuring lionfish, frogfish, balloonfish, surgeonfish, and butterflyfish!

Afterward, we will make our way to Catalina Island beach, where you'll be treated to a delicious buffet lunch, including chicken, pork chops, beans, rice, salad, and a variety of beverages. Additionally, if you desire, you can don some snorkeling gear to further explore the Caribbean waters after the meal.

Finally, you will be returned to your hotel between 3 and 3:30 pm.

Requirements

Participants must possess a PADI Open Water Diver certificate or an equivalent to confirm their readiness for this diving adventure.

Important

It is essential to note that after the last dive, you should wait a minimum of 24 hours before flying or ascending to high altitudes.

Companion

If you lack a diving certification or simply prefer not to dive, you can join as a companion. While fellow participants dive, you also have the option to enjoy snorkeling.
