Embrace the spirit of a true Arctic adventurer during this winter survival workshop set within the stunning Pyhä-Luosto National Park. Here, you will acquire critical skills to navigate the harsh cold and master the art of constructing a quinzee.

Pyhä Survival Workshop

Our journey begins at the designated hour at the Colorado Bar & Grill, where we will embark on our exploration into the depths of Pyhä-Luosto National Park for the survival workshop. An experienced guide will introduce the key gear necessary for your adventure, including a sleeping bag and mattress.

Participants will also discover appropriate clothing for frigid temperatures and learn cooking techniques suited for chilly environments. The session will be rounded off with a simple meal featuring bread and sausages.

Following our lunch, it will be time to take up snow shovels and engage in the exciting task of constructing a quinzee, a traditional Lappish igloo. This technique is commonly employed by trekkers for overnight survival in Arctic conditions.

As our activity draws to a close, we will make our way back to the original meeting point, concluding the experience after approximately 6 hours.
