Discover the vibrant atmosphere of Jamaica's capital during this excursion to Kingston from Runaway Bay. This journey will take you to some of the most significant landmarks, including an enchanting visit to Spanish Town.

Excursion Overview

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Runaway Bay. Once on board a comfortable coach, you'll travel towards Kingston, the heart of Jamaica. After approximately an hour on the road, we'll arrive at our first destination, Spanish Town, which served as the nation's capital until the 1800s.

In this charming town, enjoy a short guided tour highlighting its many historical structures that represent the Georgian architectural style. Following this insightful visit, we’ll reboard our transport to continue our journey to Kingston.

Upon reaching the capital, prepare to explore some of its most celebrated monuments and structures. Our first stop will be the luxurious Beverly Hills area, renowned as the city's most affluent neighborhood. You will also get to see the statue of Bob Marley, a reggae icon, located just 984 ft (300 m) from the National Stadium, where you’ll learn about the connection between Marley and local athletics. Next, we'll visit Emancipation Park, a sprawling 4.94-acre (2-hectare) park established to honor the abolition of slavery.

Next, we’ll make our way to Devon House, one of Kingston’s most exquisite mansions, built by wealthy entrepreneur George Stiebel. This stunning example of Colonial architecture stands out as one of the city’s key attractions.

During your time in Kingston, you’ll have the option to explore the Bob Marley Museum or enjoy some shopping at Sovereign Mall, which features numerous dining options for a leisurely meal.

Before we embark on our return journey, there will be time for you to visit the National Gallery of Jamaica, where you can admire a diverse collection of Caribbean art.

After an enriching 8 hours, we will return to your hotel, concluding a memorable day.
