3.5-Hour Tour

If your main interest lies in observing whales within this protected area, this option suits you best. We will depart from the port of Samaná and witness these incredible creatures thriving in their natural environment. You will spend 2 to 2.5 hours exploring the sanctuary while gaining insights into the lives of these marine mammals.

Please Note: Meals and a visit to  Cayo Levantado are not included in this tour.

7-Hour Tour

Gather at the Avenida La Marina in Samaná at the specified time, where we will board a catamaran, don our safety gear, and set sail into the bay.

This adventure promises one of the most thrilling opportunities in the northern Dominican Republic—whale watching! Anchoring in the ocean, we await the majestic humpback whales to surface.

Why is this region regarded as an ideal spot for such an activity? Each year, between January and March, approximately 3,000 humpback whales make their way to these warm waters to breed. Witnessing these magnificent marine creatures will leave you in awe.

Next, we will continue our adventure towards Cayo Levantado, a picturesque island that appears to be from a dream. Once we arrive, you will enjoy some free time to bask on one of the idyllic beaches, featuring crystal-clear waters and peaceful white sands. What else could you desire?

After savoring a buffet lunch by the beach, we will reboard the catamaran to commence our return journey. Our total excursion will span 7 hours before returning to the original meeting point.
