San Sebastian Coast Catamaran Trip
Description
Discover the stunning landscapes of the Cantabrian Sea during our catamaran voyage along the coastline of San Sebastian. Departing from La Concha Bay, this trip offers a serene experience along the picturesque shore of this Basque city.
Catamaran Voyage Along San Sebastian's Coast
We'll convene at Paseo del Muelle at your preferred time. From this port location, we'll embark on a relaxed catamaran journey tracing the San Sebastian coastline.
The voyage begins as we sail across La Concha Bay, heading towards the Empty Construction sculpture, an artistic installation created by Jorge Oteiza, situated at the base of Mount Urgull. Our route continues along the northern side of the hill, allowing you to appreciate the renowned Paseo Nuevo breakwater from the comfort of the catamaran.
After navigating past Mount Urgull, we’ll arrive at the entrance of the Urumea River. On its banks stands the iconic Kursaal, known for hosting the annual San Sebastian Film Festival. Directly adjacent to this striking building is Zurriola Beach, where you can glimpse Mount Ulía at the end of this bay, characterized by its powerful waves.
Upon reaching Mount Ulía, our course shifts westward to the eastern section of Mount Igueldo. Here, you will encounter one of Eduardo Chillida's most remarkable pieces of art: the Comb of the Wind sculpture.
Next, we’ll circle around Santa Clara Island and conclude our catamaran adventure after 45 minutes at sea as we return to our departure point.
Sunset Trip
For those wishing to bask in the splendid coastline of Donostia at dusk, our sunset boat trip is an ideal choice. As we set sail, watch the sun gradually fade, providing a backdrop to the breathtaking views of San Sebastián.
This excursion allows you to take in the dramatic cliffs of Mount Igueldo, La Concha Bay, Ondarreta Beach, the Comb of the Wind, and the Miramar Palace, all illuminated by the soft hues of sunset. After an hour, we will return to shore, marking the end of this experience.
