At the specified time, our team will collect you from your accommodation in Santa Marta and embark on a scenic 40-minute drive to Ciénaga. To keep our energy high during the journey, a fruit snack will be provided.

Upon arrival in Ciénaga, the setting for García Márquez's acclaimed novel One Hundred Years of Solitude, we will commence our exploration of its rich heritage. A leisurely walk through the historic streets will reveal the origins of this town and its remarkable economic growth in the early 20th century, primarily fueled by the expanding banana sector.

During our visit to Ciénaga, you will have the opportunity to admire the impressive pavilion, the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, and various other landmarks that connect to the literary journey highlighted in García Márquez's work.

Next, we will travel to the Cordobita region to explore the fascinating volcano of Ciénaga. Here, you can take a refreshing dip in its hot springs, learn about their healing effects, and enjoy a therapeutic mud massage.

Finally, we will reconvene at the minibus and make our way back to Santa Marta, concluding the journey approximately 7 hours after our departure.
