Recognized as a Shrine of the Homeland by the Colombian government, this hacienda is notable for being the final residence of Simón Bolívar. As we admire its impressive façade, we'll delve into the compelling history surrounding this landmark.

Next, we will navigate through the principal avenues, witnessing some of the most significant buildings and monuments in Santa Marta. We will also explore the charming parks and colonial architecture of the old town before arriving at the Cathedral Basilica of Santa Marta. This historic cathedral was once the burial site for the remains of Simón Bolívar and currently holds the remains of Rodrigo Bastidas, the city's founder.
