At the scheduled time, you will be collected from the designated meeting point in Santander or Torrelavega, marking the beginning of our journey to Cabezón de la Sal, our initial destination for the day.

Upon arrival, you will have the chance to explore the renowned Secuoya Forest of Cantabria, which earned its title as a Natural Monument in 2003. Did you know this is the largest collection of sequoias in Spain? Stroll among these towering giants, standing up to 131 ft (40 m) tall and 6.56 ft (2 m) in diameter, and prepare to be amazed!

Your adventure will continue with a visit to San Vicente de la Barquera, where breathtaking views of the stunning Cantabrian coast await, framed by the majestic Picos de Europa.

The town features numerous structures recognized as a Bien de Interés Cultural (Asset of Cultural Interest). Here, you can explore the interiors of two significant landmarks: the Gothic-style Iglesia de Santa María de los Ángeles and the Castillo del Rey. Be sure to take in the picturesque views of the bay and the stunning San Vicente estuary. Capture the moment with a photo!

Finally, you will have some free time to browse for a memorable souvenir, with our return to the original meeting point occurring after approximately 4.5 hours.

Options for the Day Trip

When booking, you can choose from the following options:

• Guided Day Trip from Santander or Torrelavega + Entry Tickets: This package includes a guided tour through the Secuoya Forest and a walking tour of San Vicente de la Barquera's historic center. Additionally, entry is granted to the Iglesia de Santa María de los Ángeles and the Castillo del Rey.
• Self-Guided Day Trip from Santander: Opting for this choice allows you free time to explore both the Secuoya Forest and San Vicente de la Barquera at your own pace. Note that this option does not cover entry to the monuments.

Pickup Locations

The day trip begins at the following designated points:

• Santander: If you select this option, our meeting spot will be at the Plaza Estaciones (Calle Cádiz, 3) bus stop or Calle Calderón de la Barca, depending on availability.
• Torrelavega: Here, you'll be picked up at the Pabellón Municipal de la Habana Vieja.
