Tour Options
During your reservation process, select from various options tailored to your preferred areas of Shanghai. Each tour has a duration of 3 hours and is accompanied by an English-speaking guide.
French Concession Tour
Your adventure begins at Exit 6 of Xintiandi Metro Station, where we will proceed to Sun Yat-sen's former residence, regarded as the founding father of modern China.
For approximately 1 hour, we will immerse ourselves in the rooms of this house-museum, which retains original furniture and documents detailing how Sun Yat-sen played a crucial role in dismantling the feudal monarchy and establishing the first republic.
Next, our journey takes us to the official founding site of the Chinese Communist Party, discreetly located within the winding alleys of the French Concession. Inside, we will discover newspapers and photographs of the individuals who, despite threats from the Kuomintang, committed themselves to safeguarding the populace.
The tour will conclude at the memorial hall of the First National Congress of the CCP, where we will reflect on the pivotal 1921 meeting. Thirteen delegates participated: seven defected, four faced execution, and only two lived to see the establishment of New China. This meeting significantly impacted the nation’s trajectory!
Our expedition wraps up back at the starting location.
- Schedule: This tour begins at 10 am.
North Bund Tour
We will gather at Exit 3 of QuFu W. Rd. Metro Station and make our way to the North Bund, which lines the Suzhou River—a critical site for historic battles and a testament to Shanghai’s evolution.
In this area, we will appreciate the European-style architecture, a remnant of the foreign concessions, and contemplate how these influences shaped the city’s revolutionary narrative.
Our next stop is the Shanghai Postal Museum, where the legacy of stamps narrates the evolution of modern China. Here, the main hall—adorning marble, polished floors, and golden balustrades—serves as a reminder of the opulence of early postal operations in Shanghai!
Following this, we will visit the Monument to the People's Heroes to honor those who sacrificed their lives for the People's Republic of China. During this one-hour visit, we’ll tour the memorials and pay tribute to the martyrs who forged the communist ideal.
The tour concludes as we return to the original meeting point.
