Details of the Noto & Syracuse Day Trip

At the arranged time, we will collect you from the designated meeting point and begin our journey towards Syracuse. The picturesque ride in our minibus will take approximately an hour and a half, revealing the beautiful landscapes of this region.

Once we arrive, a guided tour will introduce you to the archaeological park of Neapolis, a standout feature of Syracuse. Here, you will encounter the impressive Greek theater, a historical Roman amphitheater, and a temple specifically designed with an altar for sacrifices, offering a thrilling glimpse into the past.

The adventure proceeds to the island of Ortigia, connected to the mainland by several bridges and celebrated as a World Heritage Site. As the historical nucleus of Syracuse, Ortigia reveals the city’s ancient origins. Enjoy a leisurely walk through its lovely streets, stopping at the cathedral, which is built atop the remains of an ancient Greek temple, where the intriguing history of this monument will be unveiled.

After the guided portion, you will have an hour of leisure time for lunch at a local eatery before we continue our voyage to Noto. Known for its stunning Baroque churches, Noto offers an opportunity to appreciate their intricate facades and learn about the impact of the 1693 earthquake on these structures.

In Noto, you will have about 1 hour of free time to wander and discover the area independently before we prepare for the return trip.

Concluding this enriching 12-hour journey, we will drop you off at your original meeting point in Taormina.
