Roque Nublo Hiking Excursion

Our adventure begins at 10 am, with a meetup at the parking area for Roque Nublo, just a short 30-minute drive from the heart of Tejeda. Prepare for a 6 km journey through the interior mountains of Gran Canaria, aimed at uncovering one of the island’s most celebrated symbols. Are you excited?

We will commence our ascent, during which you can appreciate the tranquility of the natural surroundings and enjoy panoramic views of the dramatic peaks that characterize Gran Canaria. Steering clear of crowded paths, we will venture into lesser-known territories brimming with natural beauty until we reach one of the island's highest elevations at an impressive 1,813 meters!

Throughout the hike to Roque Nublo, we’ll meander through extensive Canary pine forests until arriving at the viewpoint of this towering volcanic structure, which is protected as a Biosphere Reserve. Here, we will delve into the geological formation of this iconic landmark while highlighting its significance as a spiritual site for the island's indigenous population. Along the way, views of El Fraile and La Rana rocks will enrich our experience.

After a day filled with breathtaking scenery and adventure, we will conclude our hike back at the starting location around 2 pm.
