Trekking Tour to Derrepente Waterfall
Your journey begins with a pickup from your hotel in Tingo Maria at 8 am. Following a brief 30-minute drive, we will arrive at the charming town of Cayumba, situated in the Mariano Dámaso Beráum district.
Upon reaching Cayumba, our 3-hour trek along the Derrepente River will commence. Discover the fascinating origins of its peculiar name during the hike!
As we walk, you will enjoy views of the river’s cascades and rapids amidst a rich tapestry of biodiversity. We will navigate through bridges and pathways deep within the Peruvian jungle, ultimately arriving at the mesmerizing Espejo Mágico and El Ensueño waterfalls. Here, we will take breaks to relax and indulge in a refreshing swim after the vigorous trek. Plus, you’ll have time for lunch—be sure to pack your own picnic!
After our moments of leisure, we will continue the trek back to Cayumba, where transportation will be ready to bring you back to Tingo Maria. We aim to have you back at your hotel by 5 pm.
