Our exploration commences at the Plaza de Armas, the central square of the city. Following this, we'll ascend to the San Cristóbal viewpoint, where an incredible panorama of the hills surrounding Tingo María awaits. Have you heard the tale of Nunash, the Bolivian Sleeping Beauty? We’ll narrate this fascinating legend rooted in the area, uncovering the reason behind the naming of one of the hills after her.
Next, we will visit the bustling commercial zone, where you can browse handicraft and natural medicine shops. Here, you can find unique beverages like cat's claw and camu camu, both renowned for their rich vitamin C content.
Our final destination will be the Tingo María Zoo, home to local wildlife including jaguars, pumas, peccaries, and South American coatis, in addition to various species of monkeys, birds, and reptiles.
