La Mancha is renowned for its deep-rooted wine production heritage, and there’s no better spot to immerse yourself in it than the Virgen de las Viñas Winery located in Tomelloso, a top destination for wine tourism in Ciudad Real.

Our journey will commence at the designated time in the wine press, the core of the winery, which features the Ethnographic Museum. You'll be transported back in history as you navigate through exhibits showcasing vintage carts and agricultural tools that reveal the rich farming legacy of the region.

We will then descend to the historic caves of the winery where wine was traditionally aged. These refurbished tunnels exemplify the harmony between time-honored practices and contemporary winemaking methods.

Part of this experience includes savoring two different wines alongside a premium olive oil, accompanied by delightful local specialties from La Mancha. Young guests will also enjoy a refreshing glass of grape juice to experience these local tastes.

The tour will proceed to the bottling area, where you’ll observe the remarkable productivity of the modern winemaking process. Witness the filling, capping, and labeling of over 25,000 bottles every hour!

Next, we’ll visit the Infanta Elena Museum of Contemporary Art, situated within the winery premises. This remarkable collection showcases works from artists who have participated in the esteemed Virgen de las Viñas Cultural Contest, staged annually since 2001, and is overseen by a committee presided over by King Felipe VI.

After two hours of discovery, tastings, and cultural engagement, we will wrap up our visit at this extraordinary museum.
