On this day trip from Trinidad, we'll travel to Cienfuegos, the Pearl of Southern Cuba, to admire its architectural heritage and views of the Caribbean Sea.

Get ready for an unforgettable day in the Pearl of Southern Cuba. We will pick you up at your hotel in Trinidad and set off on a 90-minute drive. The ideal time to take in the coastal and mountainous scenery!

Our first stop will be the Cienfuegos Botanical Garden, one of the oldest in the country, founded in 1901, home to more than 2,000 species of plants, including many exotic varieties. Did you know it has one of the largest palm collections in the world? We'll explore the paths featuring over 280 types of palms, such as the sausage tree, the walking tree, and the elephant's foot.

After our 1-hour visit, we’ll travel to downtown Cienfuegos for a 2-hour guided tour. We will start at Martí Park, the main square surrounded by impressive neoclassical buildings unique in Cuba. Our next stop is the majestic Tomás Terry Theater, inaugurated in 1890, where artists like Enrico Caruso and Anna Pavlova once performed. Imagine European operas in the Caribbean's heart!

Next, we will visit the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, renowned for its stunning stained-glass windows that fill the interior with light. The tour continues to the Palacio de Valle, an eclectic architectural gem with Moorish, Venetian, and Gothic influences, declared a National Monument. From its terraces, we can enjoy breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea.

Afterwards, we’ll explore Punta Gorda, an elegant neighborhood with colonial houses along the bay, before proceeding to the vibrant Cienfuegos Boulevard. There, we'll stop at a traditional restaurant to savor a typical Cuban lunch made with regional ingredients. What a perfect way to conclude the tour!

Finally, after enjoying lunch for 1.5 hours, we’ll begin the return journey to your hotel in Trinidad, arriving after a total of 8 hours.
