Day Trip Details

Day 1: Tehran – Shiraz

At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Tehran or from Imam Khomeini International Airport to take you to Mehrabad Airport. There, you’ll take a 2-hour domestic flight to Shiraz, the cradle of Persian poetry and gardens. On arrival, a driver will be waiting to take you to the hotel. After check-in and a short rest, we’ll have our first introduction to this charming city.

We’ll visit the Qavam House, also known as Narenjestan-e Qavam, an elegant residence from the Qajar era, famous for its mirrorwork decoration, colorful mosaics, and orange tree courtyard. We’ll then continue to the exotic Eram Garden, a place that feels straight out of a Persian poem, where towering cypress trees and fragrant flowers frame one of the most photogenic mansions in the country.

At the end of the day, you’ll have dinner on your own at a local restaurant and then return to the hotel for the night. See you tomorrow!

Day 2: Shiraz

After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll head to one of the most magical places in Shiraz: the Nasir al-Molk Mosque, also known as the Pink Mosque. Early in the morning, its stained-glass windows cast colorful lights across the floor, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. It’s a light display you won’t forget.

We’ll continue with a visit to the Vakil Complex, where we’ll explore the mosque, the historic baths, and the bazaar, filled with spices, textiles, and copper handicrafts. Just a short walk away, we’ll find the Karim Khan Citadel, an 18th-century fortress that once served as a royal residence.

In the late afternoon, we’ll visit the mausoleum of the poet Hafez. Surrounded by candles, verses, and the intoxicating scent of orange blossoms, this sacred place offers an unforgettable atmosphere. You’ll end the day with dinner on your own and overnight accommodation in Shiraz.

Day 3: Shiraz – Fars – Isfahan

After breakfast, we’ll travel by road to Isfahan, a journey of between 8 and 10 hours that’ll be one of the most impressive of the entire trip. Along the way, we’ll make several stops in the Fars province to discover Persia’s glorious past.

Our first visit will be to the ruins of Persepolis, the ancient ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire. We’ll take in its columns, reliefs, and stairways as we learn about the greatness of a civilization that shaped history. Nearby, we’ll stop at Naqsh-e Rostam, a rock-cut necropolis where ancient kings such as Darius I are buried. Finally, we’ll visit Pasargadae, home to the tomb of Cyrus the Great, founder of the Persian Empire.

On arrival in Isfahan, we’ll check in at a traditional hotel. You’ll be able to have dinner on your own at the hotel or at a local restaurant.

Day 4: Isfahan

After breakfast, we’ll begin our tour of Isfahan in the majestic Naqsh-e Jahan Square, one of the largest squares in the world. We’ll visit the Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, famous for its mosaic dome, and the Shah Mosque, with its imposing minarets. We’ll then go up to the Ali Qapu Palace to enjoy the views and learn about the historical uses of this landmark.

We’ll also explore the Qeysarie Bazaar, a maze of shops where handmade carpets, copper items, and traditional sweets are produced. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Armenian quarter and its architectural jewel, the Vank Cathedral, with its impressive frescoes and its blend of European and Persian styles.

To end the day, we’ll take a walk along the Zayandeh River, crossing the romantic Si-o-se-pol and Khaju bridges. Their illuminated arches and the local atmosphere are captivating. You’ll have dinner on your own and spend the night again at the hotel in Isfahan.

Day 5: Isfahan – Kashan

After breakfast, we’ll head toward Kashan, a city that perfectly blends elegance and tradition. During the 3-hour journey, we’ll enjoy the desert landscape surrounding this gem in central Iran.

Our first stop will be the Fin Garden, a water- and greenery-filled paradise listed as a World Heritage Site. We’ll continue with a visit to the Sultan Amir Ahmad Baths, with their turquoise tiles and vaulted ceilings. Later, we’ll admire the Agha Bozorg Mosque, where symmetry and tranquility reign in every corner.

We’ll then explore the traditional Tabatabaei and Borujerdi houses, former residences of noble merchants decorated with stucco work, stained glass, and mirror-filled halls. It’s a living showcase of Persian art and architecture. You’ll end the day with dinner on your own and overnight accommodation at a charming traditional hotel in Kashan.

Day 6: Kashan – Tehran
