Your journey begins with a hotel pick-up in Veracruz at 9 am, followed by a trip to the archaeological wonder of Cempoala. This site ranks as one of the most significant Mesoamerican locations in the area, serving as the capital of the Totonaca’s Totonacapan kingdom. It was also the first urban settlement encountered by the Spanish on their arrival in the Americas.

A knowledgeable guide will navigate you through Cempoala, highlighting its main structures, such as the Sun Temple, the temple devoted to the wind deity Ehécatl, and the Temple of the Chimneys, among others. Additionally, you might have the rare chance to witness the Ritual Ceremony of the Voladores de Papantla.
