Tour Choices

During the reservation phase, you can select between the available routes. Both options commence and conclude at the specified time in Viñales Square and are guided throughout. Below is a concise overview of each tour:

3-Hour Experience

Our journey begins on the main street as we set out toward our initial stop: the Mural of Prehistory. Upon arrival, we'll take around 20 minutes to absorb this magnificent artwork painted on the Pita Mogote in the Dos Hermanas Valley. During this time, we’ll discuss its significance and snap photographs to capture its striking features.

Continuing forward, we will traverse the Camino del Cuajaní, a scenic path connecting the mural with the camping site at Dos Hermanas. Prepare your cameras for the picturesque views!

Our next point will be the viewpoint of the Sierra de la Guasasa, where a brief 10-minute stop allows us to admire the vista adorned with the region's karst mountains and rich greenery interspersed with crops. We then make our way to Laguna de Piedra, passing through expansive tobacco and coffee plantations as we share traditional farming techniques passed down through the ages.

Moving along, we arrive at the Jutías Valley to visit a local coffee plantation. Here, we can savor a coffee tasting, experiencing the rich flavors characteristic of Cuban brews. Our journey continues to the República de Chile community, the first cooperative established by Fidel Castro.

As we leave here, we’ll travel past local homes and agricultural fields, entering into the verdant cover of the tropical forest, where we can appreciate the indigenous flora and fauna on our way to the Viñales Cemetery pathway.

5-Hour Experience

With the buggies roaring to life, we’ll set off toward the Valley of Silence, starting with a 3-kilometer (1.5 miles) journey along a forest road. Our first stop will be to marvel at the limestone mogotes, monumental formations revealing the rich geological narrative of Viñales.

Next, we press on to El Yayal, where we’ll take a moment to enjoy the panoramic vistas, an iconic image of the rural Cuban landscape!

Continuing on to Los Camejos farm, we will spend about 20 minutes exploring the site, learning about the farmers' lifestyle, observing the farm animals, and touring the fields and the bohíos, traditional circular huts of the Tainos.

Afterward, we hop back into the buggies for a 16-kilometer (10-mile) ride along a riverbed and winding paths leading us to Pinar Llano. We will pause at a stunning viewpoint to take in the breathtaking green meadows that dot the landscape before continuing our journey to the village of La Majagua.

As we traverse this route, observe the transformation of the scenery from pine-covered terrains to the awe-inspiring Albino Dam, reflecting the natural beauty surrounding us.
