Ljubljana & Bled Day Trip
Description
Explore the most iconic sights in Slovenia's capital and one of its most treasured natural gems on this day trip to Ljubljana and Bled from Zagreb.
Day Trip Details
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at your chosen meeting point in Zagreb. After approximately two hours, we will cross the border and arrive in Ljubljana, Slovenia's capital.
Once in Ljubljana, accompanied by our English-speaking guide, we will explore the historic centre and its most iconic landmarks, including the Dragon Bridge, the old town, the Central Market, and Ljubljana Castle, from where we can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the city and the surrounding Slovenian landscape.
Before we continue to our next destination, we will take a moment to savor some delicious Slovenian cuisine at a traditional local restaurant (lunch not included).
After lunch, we will board a bus headed to the small town of Bled, known for being one of the most beautiful and picturesque spots in Slovenia.
A short drive will bring us to the shores of Lake Bled, where we will board a pletna, a traditional boat, to reach the small island situated within the lake: Bled Island. Here, alongside our guide, we will visit the Church of Mary the Queen, a baroque church with a bell tower that rises over 50 metres (165 feet) high.
Our final stop will be a visit to Bled Castle before we make our way back to Zagreb.
