Edinburgh Free Walking Tour
We'll meet at the Royal Mile at the scheduled time to begin this tour. We'll explore Edinburgh's Old Town, starting at St. Giles' Cathedral, a significant medieval parish church known for its historical role during the Scottish Reformation.
Next, we'll visit The Writers' Museum in Lady Stair's House, which highlights the lives of authors Robert Burns, Walter Scott, and Robert Louis Stevenson.
We then proceed to Victoria Street, a popular and colorful street that inspired Diagon Alley in the Harry Potter series.
Next, we head to the Grassmarket, a historic marketplace from the 14th century, known for public executions and the Porteous Riots of April 1736.
We conclude at Greyfriars Kirkyard, famous for its ghost stories, including the MacKenzie Poltergeist and the tale of Bobby the Skye Terrier.
