Private Day Excursion to Sigiriya & Dambulla

Your adventure begins at 6 am when we collect you from your Colombo hotel. You'll relax in a well-appointed air-conditioned vehicle as we embark on a journey of approximately 4 hours to our first destination: Sigiriya, a site steeped in archaeological significance.

Upon arrival at Sigiriya, explore the remnants of an ancient royal residence, a monastery, and additional structures dating back to the 5th century, all perched on the towering Lion Rock. The gigantic lion's paws at the rock's base will provide insight into the origin of its name!

We will ascend to the summit of Lion Rock, which rises an impressive 1312 feet (400 meters). After descending, you'll enjoy some leisure time to dine at one of the nearby restaurants in Sigiriya.

Next, we will head to the city of Dambulla, where we will explore the acclaimed Cave Temple, also referred to as the Golden Temple. This site is recognized as the largest religious complex in Sri Lanka, and you will surely appreciate wandering its numerous grottoes while we delve into its intriguing history.

Following our visit, we will begin the trip back to your Colombo hotel, expecting to arrive by 6 pm.
