Your adventure begins at 10 am with a pickup from your hotel in Dambulla, followed by a brief 30-minute journey to Habarana. Once we arrive, the exploration of Habarana will commence, providing a unique glimpse into the everyday lives of the community.

Here, you will notice that the ox-drawn cart serves as the primary mode of transport. You will have the opportunity to ride in one of these carts to the scenic banks of Lake Habarana.

Upon reaching the lake, enjoy a peaceful boat ride to uncover the lake's unique plant and animal life from aboard the vessel. Later, we will anchor beside a rice field, where you will gain insights into the significance of rice farming in Sri Lanka and wander through the verdant paddies.

Get ready to satisfy your taste buds! Our next destination is the home of a local family, where they will graciously invite us in and share their knowledge on preparing various traditional Sri Lankan dishes. Following this hands-on cooking experience, we will enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch featuring rice, curry, fish, salad, and the ever-popular crispy papadam.

Finally, we'll return to your hotel in Dambulla, with an expected arrival time of 1:30 pm.
