Baltimore Ghost Tour
Description
Unveil the mysterious past of Baltimore on an eerie ghost tour that takes you through sites steeped in legend, spine-chilling narratives, and concealed histories. Immerse yourself in the darker chapters of Charm City!
The Grim Heritage of Baltimore
Greetings (or rather, a haunting salutation) to Baltimore! Charm City boasts remarkable historical landmarks and structures, including its notable status as the origin of the U.S. National Anthem. Yet, behind its surface charm lies a more sinister narrative, rich with unsettling folklore and ghostly tales.
Join us on the tour day at the corner of Max's Taphouse, where you'll embark on a captivating adventure through Baltimore’s dark past.
The journey kicks off with a spooky anecdote about the establishment before us, now a lively hub. Did you know that Baltimore once thrived as a significant port city? Much of its shadowy lore hails from this era, when unscrupulous sailors left a legacy of fear.
Next, we’ll make our way to the Lord Baltimore Hotel—a glamorous venue today, yet it was once the backdrop of a mysterious murder-suicide... or was it something more? Prepare to uncover the tale of Little Molly, a spectral figure observed by numerous patrons.
Following that, we’ll venture into the historic area of Fell's Point and arrive at the Admiral Fell Inn. Here, our guide will recount chilling stories of individuals haunted by the Great Depression following the stock market collapse of 1929, which plunged many into despair.
No exploration of Baltimore's spectral legacy would be complete without a nod to Edgar Allan Poe, the city’s most infamous ghostly figure. Learn about the eerie events that sparked some of his most notable works, alongside the narrative of his enigmatic last days in Baltimore. Interestingly, he was last seen alive in this very city. Spine-tingling, without a doubt.
As the ghostly hour concludes, we’ll return to our original meeting point, leaving you with haunting stories sure to linger in your mind long after our journey ends.
