When booking, you can select your preferred snowshoeing tour in Banff. Each option includes hotel pickup and drop-off, transport via bus or minibus, rental of snowshoes and poles, along with the guidance of an English-speaking instructor.

Below are the details of each tour:

Exploration of Paint Pots

At your chosen time, we will pick you up from your hotel and journey west towards the outskirts of Kootenay National Park, located just a short half-hour drive from downtown. Prepare yourself for an exciting day in the great Canadian outdoors!

Once equipped, we will initiate a 3-km (1.86-mile) snowshoe trek. As we traverse the snow, we will take in the beauty of the historic Paint Pots and the frozen lakes of Banff.

The Paint Pots, known for their mineral deposits, were historically utilized by early settlers to create paint. A brief pause will allow us to recharge with a warm hot chocolate and maple syrup candy – just the right remedy to warm us up!

The hike will conclude back at the starting location, where we'll remove our gear and head back to the hotels in Banff, wrapping up a total of 4 hours of enriching activity.

Exploration of Marble Canyon

At the agreed time, we will gather at your chosen hotel and embark on a snowshoe expedition in Marble Canyon within Kootenay National Park.

During the journey, prepare to be dazzled by the vibrant hues of the canyon, a limestone gorge that stretches 40 meters (131 feet) and has been sculpted by the relentless waters of Tokumn Creek over centuries. While we hike, our guide will share intriguing insights about the surrounding nature, and keep an eye out for tracks left by hares, moose, or wolves!

Concluding our trek, we will be treated to a distinctively Canadian delight: hot maple syrup, poured into the snow to create a unique frozen candy. Delicious!

Finally, after an engaging 4 hours, we will return to your hotel in Banff to say our goodbyes.
