Itinerary for the Beirut Private Tour
Your adventure starts when your guide greets you at your hotel in Beirut around 9 am, marking the beginning of your exploration of the Lebanese capital. Are you ready to discover the city's renowned attractions?
We will first immerse ourselves in Centre Ville, Beirut's Central District, visiting significant sites such as Martyrs' Square and the Blue Mosque, officially known as Mohammad Al-Amin Mosque. Though it was completed in 2008, this mosque is constructed in the traditional Ottoman architectural style, echoing the beauty of Istanbul's famous Blue Mosque.
Throughout this exclusive tour, glimpse the pronounced Christian heritage present in Beirut. The vibrant cultural blend of the city is illustrated by the sound of church bells summoning the Christian faithful. Discover the striking Maronite Cathedral of Saint George, a Neo-Classical masterpiece influenced by the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome.
As we proceed to uncover more of Beirut's treasures, we will reach Nejme Square, known as Place de l'Étoile, along with the ancient Roman Baths, the Garden of Forgiveness, and the famous Hamidiyi Clocktower. At each historic location, your guide will provide insights into their relevance not only to Beirut but to Lebanon as a whole.
If you wish, we can later stop by the National Museum of Beirut, which houses an extraordinary assortment of archaeological finds from the area now known as Lebanon, spanning from Prehistoric times to the Ottoman Empire. Among the remarkable displays, you'll find the renowned gilded bronze Votive statuettes, discovered in the Obelisk Temple at Byblos, dating back to between the 19th and 18th centuries BCE!
To conclude our private guided tour of Beirut, we’ll visit Deir al-Qamar, or the "Monastery of the Moon". Situated southeast of the capital, this picturesque village features stunning historical sites such as the Moussa Castle and the Beiteddine Palace. After a memorable day, we will return to Beirut by 5 pm.
