Tango show and Dinner at El Querandi
Description
Considered “Living testimony to civic memory” by the Museum of the City and "Place of tourist interest" by the National Tourist Secretary, the El Querandi restaurant is one of the most intimate venues in Buenos Aires in which to experience the romanticism of the Tango.
Description
El Querandi
Established in 1920 as a bar, El Querandi underwent restoration in 1992 and is housed within a historic mansion dating back to 1867.
With a seating capacity of 190 people, each table at El Querandi is privately set, making the dining experience particularly special.
The Show
The show “Nuestro Tango” narrates the history of Tango, highlighting significant performers and events from 1860 to the present day, reflecting its tradition in Buenos Aires. The performance features four dancing couples, two singers, and an acoustic quartet – piano, bandoneon, violin, and double bass – delivering an unforgettable evening. The show lasts approximately 75 minutes, divided into five segments. An open bar is also included in this option.
Guests may reserve only the show or choose a dinner package as well.
Dinner With or Without a Wine Pairing
Enhance your Tango experience with a delightful dinner!
The menu includes various cold and hot appetizers and offers a choice among 20 main dishes including white and red meats, pork, fish, and pasta. The dinner is complemented by wine from the Finca Flichman vineyard, soft drinks, mineral water, coffee, or tea.
A wine-pairing dinner option is also available, featuring a menu designed to pair perfectly with a selected regional wine, with guidance from a sommelier. This dining experience lasts for 1 hour and includes a tasting of 3 different wines, accompanied by regional appetizers, while you view images depicting Argentina's wine industry.
