Chocolarium: The Joyful Factory of Munz and Minor

Located in the charming town of Flawil within the St. Gallen canton, the Chocolarium serves as the enchanting “factory of happiness” by Munz & Minor, part of the renowned Maestrani brand. If you're a fan of Swiss chocolate, this is your haven!

Upon reserving your entry to the Chocolarium, you will enjoy direct access to a guided tour through a variety of meticulously themed rooms. Your adventure begins in an introductory area, where you'll be introduced to the values of Maestrani, a distinguished company established in 1852 that has proudly maintained its chocolate-making legacy across five generations.

Continuing your journey, you will traverse an 80 m (262 ft) glass corridor, which functions as an observational walkway through the factory. This unique vantage point allows you to witness the chocolate production lines at work, observing the manufacturing, transportation, and packaging processes of delightful treats such as Prügeli and Munz bars while preserving the necessary environmental conditions.

Your exploration will then lead you into interactive chambers focused on the sensory experiences of chocolate, culminating in the famed “happiness space”—a special area featuring five cascading fountains of chocolate, showcasing varieties from creamy white to rich dark.

Concluding your visit, the experience wraps up in the chocolate boutique, where an impressive selection of over 300 factory-fresh products awaits you.

Opening Hours

The Chocolarium operates during the following times:

• Tuesday to Friday: 10 am to 6 pm
• Saturdays and Sundays: 10 am to 5 pm
• Last admission is one hour before closing time.

Important Information

Should you be a Raiffeisen customer or possess a Swiss Travel Pass, entry to the Chocolarium is complimentary. Just visit the ticket desk with your pass to receive your free entry ticket. Please note that reservations online cannot be made.
