Situated approximately 70 kilometers (43 miles) from La Paz, Tiwanaku is the birthplace of the ancient Tiwanaku civilization. During our visit to this pre-Columbian archaeological site, we will explore crucial landmarks, including the Akapana pyramid, which features a remarkable cross-shaped layout, and Kalasasaya, a ceremonial site that served as a calendar.

Subsequently, we will visit the archaeological museum and the lithic museum of Tiwanaku, where you can observe tools and artifacts that have been preserved for generations.

Before our return, you will enjoy a break of 1 hour and 15 minutes to savor a meal at a local restaurant.
