Fátima Small Group Day Trip

This excursion from Lisbon invites you to explore Fátima and Aljustrel, the origins of the renowned Three Secrets of Fátima, all within an intimate group of up to 8 participants. Are you ready to delve into the spiritual core of Portugal?

Trip Overview

We will convene at Praça da Figueira at the appointed time, marking the start of our journey to Fátima. Our travel time is around 1 hour and 20 minutes, leading us to the heart of Portuguese spirituality.

The experience begins at the Sanctuary of Fátima, globally recognized as a major Marian pilgrimage site. Here, a guided tour will provide insight into the 1918 apparitions and their significant historical and religious implications for the area.

Next, we will visit the Chapel of the Apparitions, which stands where, tradition holds, the Virgin Mary appeared to the shepherds. We will also view the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, the resting place of the shepherds' tombs, and attend a mass. You'll have about an hour to wander freely and savor local culinary offerings.

Following our time in Fátima, we will head to the quaint village of Aljustrel, just a 10-minute drive away. Here, we will gain insight into the social and economic conditions of the early 20th century. We’ll visit the homes of Lucía, Francisco, and Jacinta, where cherished family artifacts are preserved.

Our journey continues as we stroll towards Poço do Arneiro and Valinhos, two significant locations in the daily lives of the shepherds, surrounded by olive trees and rustic stone walls. You might be surprised to learn these paths were once traversed by the shepherd children tending their flocks.

At the end of our enriching experience, we will return to Lisbon. Our total time together will be around 6 to 6.5 hours, and we will conclude by parting ways at the HF Fénix building.

• If traveling with children under 3, please ensure you have a child seat for the bus. The seat must face the rear and can accommodate up to 28 lbs (13 kg). Without a suitable child seat, participation in the day trip will not be permitted, and a refund will not be available.
