Grindelwald & First Mountain Day Trip
Description
Explore the majestic Swiss Alps on this excursion departing from Lucerne, designed to showcase the enchanting village of Grindelwald and the stunning peak of First Mountain. An unforgettable experience awaits!
Details of the Day Trip
We'll begin our adventure at the Landenberg bus park, where we’ll board our coach heading towards the canton of Bern. In this picturesque area of Switzerland, we’ll pause briefly in the charming town of Interlaken, aptly named for its idyllic setting between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz.
Continuing our journey, we’ll arrive at the picturesque village of Grindelwald. Once there, we will distribute your tickets for the cable car to Mount First. Enjoy a smooth ascent to this breathtaking summit, which stands at a height of 2,100 meters (6,890 feet), offering views that will captivate your senses!
Once on First Mountain, you’ll have roughly 3 hours of leisure time to enjoy a meal and immerse yourself in the remarkable Alpine scenery at your own pace. Your cable car ticket additionally provides access to the First View observation platform and the thrilling Cliff Walk by Tissot suspension bridge, which elegantly stretches 40 meters (130 feet) across the mountainside.
Ensure you allocate adequate time to return by cable car to Grindelwald, where you can wander through the village before regrouping for our final destination: Lauterbrunnen. This village is renowned for being one of the most stunning spots in the Swiss Alps.
After our time in Lauterbrunnen, we will board the coach back to the originating point in Lucerne, concluding this enriching 10-hour journey.
